Can anyone tell me if Deanburnhaugh Roberton as mentioned in the 1871 census was a "poor house" type of place?

Hi Colin, Deanburnhaugh in "The Imperial Gazetteer of Scotland" published around the 1860s is described as "a modern village in the parish of Roberton, partly in Roxburghshire and partly in Selkirkshire. Population in 1851, of the entire village, 86; of the Roxburgh section, 19.
best regards, Strath Stewart.
